KRAV MAGA BLACK – Learn skills that can save your life and get fit in the process. Our Safe for Life program is a 12 week program that teaches the exciting and highly practical self-defence system.
Krav Maga is an easy to learn self defence system that provides practical solution to common assaults with no prior experience in martial arts necessary.
Krav Maga was famously developed by the Israeli Defence Force and exported globally. It has since become the de facto self-defence system of government agencies and special forces in nearly every country.
Krav Maga Black has been adapted for civilian populations and proven popular with people who want to know how to handle a violent confrontation without the complex and refined techniques that take martial artists years to learn.
During our 12 week course you will learn defences against common assaults including the ‘haymaker’, rape attack positions, chokes and headlocks both standing and grounded, bear hugs, knife attacks, stick attacks, multiple attackers, and much more including ‘target hardening’ and deescalation, vulnerable targets and how to strike them, behavioural and psychological pathology of predators.
You will also have the opportunity to grade as a Krav Maga Practitioner 1 under our international standards governed by Krav Maga Global (KMG) – the world’s leading certification body for Krav Maga.
TACFIT – ‘The World’s Smartest Workout’ according to Men’s Health for fast and effective dynamic movement training workouts in 45 mins.

Chronic disease is a substantial burden for Australian employers. Based on results from the 2004–05 National Health Survey, approximately 33 per cent of working-age Australians between 25 and 64 years old (approximately 3.4 million people) reported having at least one of eight selected chronic diseases – arthritis, asthma, coronary heart disease (CHD), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), depression, diabetes, osteoporosis or cerebrovascular disease.
Australian employers bear many of the indirect costs associated with chronic disease and ill health. For example, the estimated cost of absenteeism to the Australian economy is $7 billion each year, with the cost of presenteeism (not fully functioning at work because of medical conditions) being nearly four times more at almost $26 billion in 2005–06, according to AIHW, Chronic Disease and Participation in Work, 2010.
An increasingly important objective for business therefore is to try and optimise the health and health-related behaviours of its workforce in the work environment (i.e.‘workplace wellness’) to minimise the impact of these issues.
While the psychosocial hazards of work are growing, the working environment is becoming less physically active due to the transition from manufacturing to service economies, technological advances and workflow improvements, with approximately 67.3 per cent of the day being spent in sedentary activity.
The economic cost of physical inactivity, in terms of lost productivity, was estimated at $9.3 billion in 2008.
A high level of workplace stress is a costly burden for employers (both directly and indirectly) in terms of reported increased accident rates, lost time, absenteeism, lower productivity and effectiveness and increased insurance premiums.
Furthermore, there is evidence that the incidence of workplace stress is growing and the cost of these claims is considerably higher than the average claim – up to twice as expensive, according to Safe Work Australia (NOSI), Occupational Health and Safety Statistics report.
Fit and healthy employees are happier, more productive and create greater company profits through reduced sick days and maximum performance.
Boost your team’s motivation, physical fitness and mental clarity with a Corporate Elite program.
PWC employee Rebecca says her lunch time fitness sessions with us made her feel more energetic to tackle a productive afternoon in the office.
Studies show that employee loyalty increases when their health and fitness is optimised. A fit and healthy workplace has a high morale, high energy and low employee churn, saving companies on the associated costs of illness and re-hiring.
PWC employee Megan says getting away from the office at lunch time to do fitness classes was an efficient use of her time.
Blue chip companies worldwide understand that good health is good business. Healthy employees and a healthy profit margin are higher in workplaces with a corporate wellness program that involves fitness.
A recent study for The American Journal of Health Promotion showed that the cost effectiveness of workplace wellness programs was demonstrated by:
- A 28% reduction in sick leave.
- A 26% reduction in use of the health care benefit.
- 30% reduced worker’s comp claims and disability management.
